Shabbat Shalom

This Friday night, the 7:00 pm minyan will be in the chapel and the late minyan will be in the simcha room. We are also excited this Shabbat to introduce two new classes. Rabbi Cohen will lead Coffee and Commentary on the weekly Torah portion in the tent at 8:45 AM and Mark Wagshul will be starting a post 7 AM minyan weekly class. Details are below. The full array of adult education classes can be viewed here.

We are looking forward to a meaningful holiday season ahead. There will be five services on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Unless you are sitting in your pew seat or reserve a seat through our Patron program, seating in all minyanim is first come, first served. Full information on the minyanim can be accessed here. Click here to view the High Holiday schedule.

Thank God, we are celebrating the renovation and rededication of our shul, Congregation Agudath Sholom on Sunday, August 29th at 5:30 PM. Please RSVP by Sunday, August 22nd.

Thank you and may we go from strength to strength with God's help in the years to come!

If you are new to the area and would like to learn more about joining CAS, please reach out to me, Matt, our executive director, or Meg Haron, membership chair at meghanharon@gmail.com. We look forward to welcoming you to the CAS community.

Wishing you and your families a Shabbat Shalom,

Rabbi Daniel Cohen

CAS Movie Club
Sunday, October 10 - 8:00 PM
For the next movie club we're going to be taking a little bit of the break until after the chagim. We'll be watching 1981's Chariots of Fire. It's available to stream for free on Tubi, rent from Vudu or borrow from the library. Even if you've watched it before I strongly urge everyone to watch it again with a critical eye and come prepared to discuss it like you've never done before! Each month we'll pick a movie and then come together to discuss its themes, its cultural meaning, and place it in an historical context. We will talk about how film as an artform can teach us about our society and the mors and values we embody or wish to project. We'll learn the language of film and how it's used to tell those stories. For more info, For more info, contact Judith Bernstein at judith82@gmail.com. **Please note, if you've already sign up, no need to sign up week to week as your name remains on the list until you request it be removed.**
