LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Member,

This Letter is to inform you of recent decisions that have been made by the Board of Directors.

As you aware, Rabbi Walk advised the Congregation last year that he would be leaving he Shul's employ during the summer of 2011 in order to relocate to Florida to spend more time with his mom. Of course, as the saying goes, "man plans and G-d laughs". Unfortunately, Rabbi Walk's mom recently passed away. As a result, Rabbi Walk requested that the Shul renew his Contract as
Educational Director for an additional year.

This week the Board considered Rabbi Walk's request and voted overwhelmingly to renew Rabbi Walk's contract for an additional year as the Educational Director, which decision was in line with the recommendation of the Executive Committee.

The next decision that was considered by the Board was whether to continue the ongoing search for a part-time Assistant Rabbi. The Board deliberated thoughtfully in-depth regarding this issue. In a "close" but still a firm majority vote, the Board decided that it was in the best interest of the Shul and its members to complete the search process that has been underway for several months and try to hire a part-time assistant Rabbi for next year.

I want to thank the Executive Board and the Board members for taking the time and fully
discussing all aspects of
the issues presented in a thoughtful and professional manner.

Warmest regards,

Steven
