CAS is presenting a B'nai Mitzvah Information Session for

upcoming Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. (2011-2012) Learn about planning a Bar/Bat Mitzvah at Congregation Agudath Sholom and the programs available to the B'nai Mitzvah. Tastings from various caterers at 7:30 PM with the presentations beginning at 8:00 PM. Please bring your Bar/Bat Mitzvah children with you!

Jr. Congregation, Mini Minyan, & Tot Shabbat invite you to a special Shabbat Morning Chanukah celebration. In honor of Chanukah each group will have a Driedel spinning contest, Sufganiot, and Chanukah Gelt for all participants! We hope to see you there!!!

All B'nai Mitzvah who will be celebrating their simcha this year are invited to be a special guest speaker on a week that you chose at CAS Seudat Shlishit. We would love to hear some words of Torah from you, and this will also give you a chance to brush up on your public speaking skills before your big day! Celebrate Chanukah with The PJ Library !!!

Please join us Wednesday afternoon December 1st from 3:30-4:30 pm at the Harry Bennett Branch of the Stamford Public Library for a Chanukah Celebration! Program includes a wonderful Chanukah story read by Amy Lilien-Harper Youth Services Librarian, followed by Chanukah songs and creative movement lead by Danette Cahr of Pixalina Dance Studio, Menorah lighting and a special Chanukah treat!

Super Sunday! Super Stories! Super Show!

 On Sunday, December 5, while United Jewish Federation holds its annual Super Sunday fundraiser, UJF and the JCC will join forces to present a very special morning event for kids ages 1 to 8. The PJ Library® will feature some great storytelling and the JCC, through an exclusive arrangement with the JCC Association, is proud to premiere Shalom Sesame.

10 to 10:30 a.m. Listen to stories from The PJ Library® read by community leaders. The PJ Library® program supports families in their Jewish journeys by sending Jewish-themed books and music to communities around the country.

10:45-11:15 a.m. Can Grover find the missing menorah? And what happened to the missing latkes? Find out at the premiere of Shalom Sesame, "Chanukah: The Missing Menorah." This new DVD series is set in Israel and comes to us from the creators of Sesame Street. With a special appearance by Elmo!

11:15 a.m. to noon More fun with snacks, face painting, balloons, and arts & crafts.

CAS Chanukah Family Event December 7th With Bobby Doowah!!!   Join us 4:45-6:30 p.m. at CAS Tuesday December 7th for the Chanukah event of the year.  We'll be celebrating the festival of Lights and Miracles with a special magical event at CAS that will make you spin!!! Come enjoy a delicious Chanukah dinner, an awesome Chanukah sing along with Bobby Doowah, and Menorah lighting with Sufganiot and gelt! After Shul we will be walking together to Rabbi Cohen's home for lunch and an oneg Shabbat. The B'nai Mitzvah Shabbaton is a special chance to spend time getting to know Rabbi Cohen, building a connection with other B'nai Mitzvah in the community, and a special learning opportunity to strengthened connections to Judaism.
