  MESSAGE FROM THE RABBI

The last chapter of Pirkei Avot focuses on the acquisition of Torah. The Sages delineate 48 ways to wisdom. Rabbi Noach Weinberg, of blessed memory, of Aish Hatorah explains each way in a relevant and compelling way.

One of the 48 ways is Shimush Chachamim - Serve  the Wise Person.

Values are caught and not taught. Who are our role models? Wisdom is the key to a meaningful life. We would never use trial and error in an operating room. Why leave our personal lives to guesswork?

Go find a wise person and ask them:

Did you ever make a mistake and what did you learn?

What is the key to greatness?

What makes a marriage successful?

How do I get more joy in living?

We all need wisdom and mentors  and we can all be mentors to

others.

For more info on the 48 Ways to Wisdom, visit www.aish.com.
