Special Announcements

קהילת אגודת שלום

Congregation Agudath Sholom

Dear Fellow Member,

I'm writing to let you know that you will receive the invitation to our upcoming Annual Dinner in your mail this week.

Our annual dinner is the most important event of the year for CAS.  It is the significant fund-raiser for our congregation.  We depend on the funds raised to support a large portion of our operating costs.  But more importantly, we will come together to celebrate the people and qualities which make CAS such a special place.

This year, we are fortunate to have four honorees, each of whom captures the special spirit of CAS.  Our Guest of Honor, Bob Zitter, is a former CAS President who led us for two terms.  Our Distinguished Service Award recipient, Howard Weiss, holds a special place both in the ritual and daily lives of our Congregation.  Our Young Leadership Award recipient, Jodi Hadge, skillfully works to help make sure everyone knows about the many events we run throughout the year.  Our Jewish Education & Leadership Award will go most deservedly to Rabbi David Walk, who has been our teacher and friend for the past ten years.

Moreover, we have a fantastic dinner committee led by Aviva Maller and Elissa Klapper, who presented a beautiful event last year.  We look forward to even a better event this year.  Our Journal Chair, Rhoda Freedberg, is working hard to make our Journal a success.

I'm sure you know one, more, or all of the honorees or dinner committee members.  You must agree that they embody the positive spirit that keeps our community strong.

Please join all of us at the event.  We are hoping for even broader participation this year, welcoming all our members - old and new.

You can sign up on-line by clicking here, respond to the invitation you

receive in the mail this week, or call the office at your convenience.

Sincerely,

Steven Steinmetz

President

P.S. Our committee will appreciate your prompt response so we can make sure your ad is included in the journal.
