Celebrate the opening of our new Mikvah!

 We invite the community to share in the celebration of our new Minnie Manger-Marcia Lieberman Mikvah.

 

In honor of the Mikvah dedication program and in conjunction with  the B.L. Manger Foundation and the Manger Family,

Congregation Agudath Sholom is proud to welcome 

 

DR. ERICA BROWN

Author, scholar, and lecturer

Dr. Brown will speak three times on Saturday:

"The Mikvah: Celebrating Transformation" (immediately after morning services at approximately 11 a.m.) 

"Spiritual Boredom: How to Make Our Prayers More Meaningful" (6:30 p.m. before mincha)

"Confronting Scandal: How Jews Can Respond When Jews Do Bad Things" (8 p.m. at seudat shlishit)

 

Following Dr. Brown's presentation  we will dedicate the Mikvah at a brief ceremony at 11:25 a.m. in the sanctuary 

 

Kiddush after services will be sponsored by the B.L. Manger Foundation in celebration of the new Minnie Manger-Marcia Lieberman Mikvah

 

In honor of the Mikvah dedication, Rabbi Daniel Cohen will lead a discussion Shabbat afternoon  

5:30 p.m. in the Bennett Simcha Room 

 

"Behind the Scenes: Understanding the Halacha and  

Holiness of Mikvah Construction"   

 

The brief presentation will be followed by guided tours of the new Mikvah.  Rabbi Cohen will be joined by the Mikvah contractor, Ron Avidan.

HONOR THE TUCKERS - Join in a festive Seudat Shlishit to honor Rabbi Yehuda and Yonat Tucker Shabbat, June 18th at 7:30 p.m.  We would like to invite the entire community to participate in a festive Seudah Shlishit in honor of Rabbi Yehuda and Yonat Tucker, who have devoted the past ten years to educating our children, preparing them for Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, leading Junior Congregation, developing special Shul programming and enriching our community.
