Title: What the Dead Sea Scrolls Can Tell Us About the Torah
The Dead Sea Scrolls, which were discovered in the 1940s, contain the oldest Hebrew manuscripts of the Bible that we have--by quite a few centuries! Less well known is the fact that they also contain a good bit of biblical commentary, ancient reflections on the Torah as it was understood by a somewhat quirky group of Jews in the second and first centuries B.C.E.
