Sukkah Hop Mini Minyan/Tot Shabbot-join us for the hop- Shabbot afternoon, September 29, led by our wonderful morahs with each child accompanied by a parents. Schedule: The hop begins in the shul sukkah with all children meeting up at 4:00 PM. The hop will then move to the Sigman sukkah at 4:05. Next stops: Lerner sukkah, the Greenberg sukkah, and finally the Schwartz sukkah, located at 43 Apple Tree Drive. Each sukkah activity or event will last roughly 15 minutes and the hop will end around 5:30pm.

Shabbat groups update Babysitting drop-off/free play starts at 10am. Formal groups and kids' tefilla will start 10:30am - please bring your children by 10:45am

Special Womens Learning Opportunities
Transmitting Torah: A Program for Women by Women
Made possible through a grant of the OU This program will be geared toward women who are interested in preparing a dvar Torah or Shiur to be delivered at shul. The program will give women content to inspire their own thinking about different Torah thoughts and questions, and will practically help women prepare a shiur or dvar Torah from start to finish by teaching research skills, honing public speaking skills and finally through a series of one-on-one tutorials tailored to each participant's specific needs and interests. Starts Monday evening October 22nd Presenter: Dena Block--Dena Block is the Steinmetz, Bernstein, Alexander Yoetzet Halacha at Congregation Agudath Sholom.
Adult Bat Mitzvah Program with Rabbi Daniel and Diane Cohen
It's never too late to re-engage with Torah and your heritage. Learning is a lifelong endeavor. Whether you formerly had a Bat Mitzvah or note, this new program will enable to reconnect with your past, present and future. The program consists of three components and will start in November. First, join the Crash Course in Basic Judaism with Rabbi Cohen (Starts Monday evening, October 15th) , the Matan Class exploring Jewish women role models in the spring with Diane Cohen and one class of your choice from our array of learning opportunities. Second, we will share a special Shabbat dinner together with your families at the Cohen home. Third, you will prepare and share a brief Dvar Torah and reflection at the culmination celebration of the program in June 2018. AIPAC Fellowships
ROSALIE ABERMAN TEEN ADVOCACY FELLOWSHIPS FOR ISRAEL
A SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY


Be one of fifteen teens to be selected for a free trip to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee Policy Conference, March 24th-26th, 2019 in Washington DC. The trip will include registration, travel and hotel and the winners will join the Agudath Sholom AIPAC delegation. The participants will also be required to attend the Stamford JCC Speak Up for Israel program and accumulate Israel advocacy hours.

Open to 9th-12th graders from CAS. To be one of the fifteen selected, submit a 500 word essay: "WHY DOES AIPAC NEED YOU?"If you could lobby the members of Congress on Capitol Hill, what would you say? What case would you present about the issues affecting the United States and Israel? Essays will be evaluated by a local and national panel of AIPAC supporters.

  • SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING PANEL, NEXT WEDNESDAY AT THE GREENWICH YMCA Parents and educators are invited to a panel discussion that will provide insight into children's social-emotional growth. "Social-Emotional Learning & Its Impact", a panel discussion, will take place on Wednesday, October 3rd, at the YMCA of Greenwich, 2nd Floor from 7-8:15 p.m. An interdisciplinary panel of experts will discuss social-emotional learning and its impact on individuals in an academic, home, and work setting.
