Shabbat Shalom!

We live in a world of moral confusion. Do good and really evil exist?
This Shabbat is the one time during the year that we are obligated to
hear the reading of the Torah. The mitzvah of Zachor,  "Remember" mandates moral clarity. Evil does exist. People who commit historic crimes against humanity - Jew or not - warrant our contempt. In truth, when we do recognize the true nature of evil, we can learn to act lovingly to all of G-d's creations as well. May this year be the final one of Zachor and may we merit the coming of the Messiah speedily in our days.

Shabbat Shalom and see you in shul.

Rabbi Daniel Cohen

Bingo Needs You!

CAS Monday night Bingo needs some more volunteers (especially callers) in order to continue our efforts to raise money for special projects. In the past, we've donated new carpeting, warmers for the kitchens and a new dairy refrigerator among other items in use today. We are aiming at updating both kitchens or at least providing for much needed updates.

This a fun-draising project that only involves your volunteering without costing you anything
but a few hours of your time. You can do one or both shifts: 6-8 pm or 8 till the end (usually around 9:30-9:45 pm) twice a month or every other month or even as a "fill-in" when
one of our regulars can't make it. We're flexible. There are all kinds of "jobs": clerical, selling on the floor or at the front and especially calling.  The only requisite is that you like people and have a warm, friendly disposition.  We will train you and we need you more than Uncle Sam does.

If at all interested and for further info, contact Roz Mangot at roz@cas-stamford.org, and thanks in advance!
