"Where there is no vision, we will perish".... Proverbs

Success lies in transcending obstacles we will inevitably face by staying focused on a higher purpose and dream. Such a vision inspires, unifies and directs our actions towards an ideal and an idea. The Jews in the desert experienced an epic tragedy. Only a year and half earlier, their vision was clear. Exodus from Egypt, Revelation at Sinai and with G-d's help, the conquest of the land of Israel. However, overcome by fear and lack of faith, they lost sight of their vision. As a result, a new generation had to arise to embrace the optimism, the fortitude and the vision to enter the land of Israel.

Time and again throughout history, we have witnessed the imperative of keeping our dream of a return to Israel in our mind and in our mission. From the exiles to the return in our generation, we must never falter in Hatikvah - the hope of our homeland. We must never falter in praying for her, fighting for her and doing all we can insure her safety and success.

Where there is no vision, we will perish. In this spirit, I am pleased to announce two upcoming trips to Israel for your consideration.

First, the Men's Adult Learning Trip from Nov. 29 -December 7, 2014. For more information, contact me or Tzvi Bernstein (hfb@zandb.com). Second join our Israel Summer Tour to Israel from August 5-August 17, 2015. For more information, contact me or visit goo.gl/UpNm6z. We will host an informational meeting at kiddush on Shabbat, June 28.

In the spirit of Hakarat Hatov, we thank Dina Berger and Sandi Waldstreicher for organizing a fabulous and meaningful Annual Meeting. Mazal Tov to our honorees, Rabbi Tzvi Bernstein, Sharon Wohlberg and Ron Avidan and best wishes for success to our new president Dr. Stuart Waldstreicher and his executive and board team.

Wishing you and your families a Shabbat Shalom,
Rabbi Daniel Cohen
