Rav Dr. Avraham Twerski, zt"l, Nigun Initiative From the Rabbinical Council of America In memory of Rabbi Dr. Avraham Twerski, צל, there is a global initiative started by his friends and neighbors to encourage Jews around the world to start off their meal this Friday night by singing the song הושי את מ".Many don't know that Rabbi Twerski composed the song and that he requested it be sung at his funeral in place of hespedim. (See article and video linked below)This is a small way to remember a special person who inspired so many people to develop self esteem, compassion and tolerance while living a happier and holier life. This Friday night let's sing from all corners of the world to bring comfort to Rabbi Twerski's family and to strengthen all of us to heal, grow and be the best versions of ourselves.click here for the article

Making Mitzvah Moments Opportunity
As you may be aware, the United Kingdom is entering a renewed lockdown. One significant concern is that those who are saying kaddish for loved ones will not have access to a minyan during this period of lockdown.
In the spirit of Kol Yisrael Arevim Zeh Bazeh, we are partnering with our British brothers and sisters to support their community. A website has been established at theus.org.uk/kaddishvolunteers to allow those with access to a minyan to recite Kaddish for those who do not.

  • HELP SPONSOR THE FAIRFIELD COUNTY CONNECTICUT JEWISH BASEBALL LEAGUE Registration is about to open for the 2021 FCCJBL and we warmly invite your organization/company to partner with us to make this year extraordinary. In 2019, we had over 85 kids take the field and even more signed up to play last year, which was unfortunately canceled due to the pandemic. Though participants pay registration fees, we can't run the program without the help of generous sponsors like you. Sponsorships are available ranging from $100-$360. All sponsors will be listed and continuously appreciated throughout our social media, on our webpage, in print media, and will be listed in a highly visible place for all participants to see each Sunday at Scalzi Park. Please be in touch with Ari (goldsteinari1@gmail.com) or Jessie (jessie.d.katz@gmail.com) by February 5 if your company or organization would like to partner with FCCJBL.
