Devorah Meyers- Mini Minyan

Devorah graduated Bi- Cultural Day School last June and is now currently a 9th grader at SAR High School. She loves coming to Shul and being greeted by the excited looks on the faces of the Mini Minyan children. She has been fortunate enough to develop relationships with many of the children and has enjoyed watching them grow throughout the year.

Hero, Martyr and Romantic: An Evening in Tribute to Rabbi Akiva

 

Learn about the life and legacy of Rabbi Akiva in a unique evening of learning and drama. During the period of Sefirat HaOmer, we mourn for the loss of the students of Rabbi Akiva, the legendary Talmudic Sage, but also honor his values and vision.

The evening will consist of two dimensions. Rabbis Daniel Cohen andDavid Walk will lead a text based exploration of some of Rabbi Akiva's most famous insights about Judaism and Tamar Gershberg and friends will dramatize a scene from her original play on Rabbi Akiva the Romantic.

Following the program, the community is invited for light refreshments.
