We are looking forward to a very special weekend that will be fun for kids & adults of all ages. Whether you are a basketball fan or not, Tamir Goodman is an inspiring speaker with a wonderful message of triumph for audiences of all ages.  He will spend the weekend with us on May 18-19 as the keynote for our annual Youth Fundraiser.

The program will include three parts:  special one-on-one sessions with Tamir, dinner with Tamir, and Shabbat lunch with Tamir where he will speak.  The one-on-one sessions and dinner are very limited opportunities, and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Last year, we had a sellout, and expect another one this year. As you can see at youth.cas-stamford.org/tamir, we have designed the program with a number of giving opportunities - and chances to meet Tamir.  Please join us either at dinner or Shabbat lunch and be a part of this exciting program and opportunity to support our great Youth Programs!

Meet Our Fabulous Leaders, this week's featured leaders:

Jessica Kfare - Mini Minyan

Jessica is proud to have been born and raised in Stamford, CT and she has been an active member of the Jewish community for many years. She is graduating from Touro College with a Masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education and has been an assistant kindergarten teacher for the last few years.

She loves coming to Mini Minyan each week to see the smiling children and to hear the highlights of their past week. She has gotten to know them each as individuals through games, conversations, learning, stories, davening time and our weekly Shabbat celebrations. She will be getting married this June to Stamford's own Eliaz Niedober and she looks forward to watching the Mini Minyan stars grow up and develop into the future shining members of the Jewish community.

Mark Rocklin - Jr. Congregation

Hi, my name is Mark Rocklin I am the Junior Congregation leader. I am a graduate of Yeshiva University and a diehard soccer fan and former player (I don't know if you can tell by the picture). I am currently the Mashgiach/Manager at Kosh restaurant here in our very on Stamford CT. I love the CASYD and all the kids that come to Junior Congregation because it puts a huge smile on my face to see the kids participate, learn and grow more and more each week! Seeing the boys mastering their laining skills from the Torah, and the girls stepping up and proudly giving Dvar Torahs in front of the whole group is what makes me love running Junior Cong each week. The boys have become Anim Zemirot masters while the girls have gained the confidence of public speaking that many adults today still fear, it has truly been a pleasure to watch each and every individual Junior Cong member grow their skills and their knowledge of Yiddishkeit this year and I look forward to seeing their continued success in the future.
