Chag Sameach / Shabbat Shalom

I hope you and your families are having a wonderful Pesach. Please note a few important reminders for the last days of the holiday:

  1. On Thursday, please remember to make an Eruv Tavshillin in order topermit cooking on Friday for Shabbat. On Yom Tov, we are not permitted to ignite a flame, but we are allowed to use a preexisting flame for cooking and transferring to the candles for Friday night. Click here!
  2. We recite Yizkor and read Songs of Songs on Shabbat, the eighth day of Pesach. It is also customary to contribute Tzedaka in memory of a loved one for Yizkor. To make a contribution to CAS, click here
  3. Following Pesach, one may not benefit from food owned by a Jew on Pesach. All Vaad certified stores (click here for VAADCT) sold their chametz for the holiday. Please note that you are permitted to purchase chametz from Fairway, Stop & Shop, Shop Rite, Trader Joe's and Costco immediately after Pesach. For any questions, please be in touch.

Wishing you and your families a Chag Kasher VeSameach!

We are looking forward to a very special weekend that will be fun for kids & adults of all ages. Whether you are a basketball fan or not, Tamir Goodman is an inspiring speaker with a wonderful message of triumph for audiences of all ages. He will spend the weekend with us on May 18-19 as the keynote for our annual Youth Fundraiser.

The program will include three parts: special one-on-one sessions with Tamir, dinner with Tamir, and Shabbat lunch with Tamir where he will speak. The one-on-one sessions and dinner are very limited opportunities, and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

We are proud to announce a special incentive for the first dinner attendees - the package includes tickets to the final NJ Nets game on April 23. And even more... the first 10 sponsors for the dinner get passes for High Five Line on the Court so you can "high five" the Nets players.

Last year, we had a sellout, and expect another one this year.

As you can see at youth.cas-stamford.org/tamir, we have designed the program with a number of giving opportunities - and chances to meet Tamir.

Please join us either at dinner or Shabbat lunch and be a part of this exciting program and opportunity to support our great Youth Programs!
