God willing, all of our prayers will be answered for the good in the coming year. Thank you so much to all of the Chazanim, Baalei Keryiah and all of the volunteers for enhancing the high holidays. The days between Yom Kippur and Sukkot are some of the holiest of the year. The Vilna Gaon explains that God removed the clouds of glory from protecting the Jewish people following the sin of the golden calf. He restored them after He forgave them on Yom Kippur. For this reason, we celebrate Sukkot during this season for the Sukkah is reminiscent of the clouds of glory and God's protection. The four days reflect God's love and our gift back to God is how we respond. Take a few minutes this Shabbat to insure actualization of your spiritual pledges during the holidays. God willing, we will feel Hashem in our lives, but only to the extent that we open up the door and let Him in. Thank you in advance for supporting our Kol Nidrei Appeal.
