Shabbat Shalom / Chag Sameach

Explore the four calls to Freedom at your Seder:

  • Freedom from Suffering: How do we relieve the burdens of others in our families, communities and the world?
  • Freedom of Belief: Do we exercise our faith freely? Do our actions embody a pride in being Jewish?
  • Freedom to Celebrate: How appreciative are we of our blessings? Do we joyously cherish every day?
  • Freedom of Purpose: Do we explore how the Torah guides our lives? Is the Torah an anchor for our values and vision?

Reflect on the Four Freedoms of Passover.  Take a few minutes to prepare some answers to these questions and share the challenge with people at your Seder.

Wishing you and your family a joyous Pesach!

May 18-19, 2012: YOUTH SCHOLAR IN RESIDENCE/ LEADER APPRECIATION/ FUNDRAISER WEEKEND - TAMIR GOODMAN  "THE JEWISH JORDAN" ...

We are looking forward to a very special weekend that will be fun for kids & adults of all ages. Whether you are a basketball fan or not, Tamir Goodman is an inspiring speaker with a wonderful message of triumph for audiences of all ages.  He will spend the weekend with us on May 18-19 as the keynote for our annual Youth Fundraiser.

The program will include three parts:  special one-on-one sessions with Tamir, dinner with Tamir, and Shabbat lunch with Tamir where he will speak.  The one-on-one sessions and dinner are very limited opportunities, and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

We are proud to announce a special incentive for the first dinner attendees - the package includes tickets to the final NJ Nets game on April 23.  And even more... the first 10 sponsors for the dinner get passes for High Five Line on the Court so you can "high five" the Nets players.  Last year, we had a sellout, and expect another one this year.  To make sure members have a chance, we are limiting sign-ups to CAS members through April 7, when we will open up the invitation to all.  As you can see at youth.cas-stamford.org/tamir, we have designed the program with a number of giving opportunities - and chances to meet Tamir.  Please join us either at dinner or Shabbat lunch and be a part of this exciting program and opportunity to support our great Youth Programs!

AND FOR THE TEENS:

New Program - FREE STARBUCKS!  8th-12th graders, Join us as we continue our new Latte 'n Learn, Thursday nights, twice a month from 8:30-9:30pm at the High Ridge Starbucks, 1055 High Ridge Road.  Chill with some cool advisors, do a little Jewish learning on hot topics, and have a hot or cold drink - on us!  For more info, email Josh at JYoshiMunk@gmail.com!  Brought to you by CAS, NCSY and Kulanu
