CAS has a NO NUTS policy  for all food served to our Congregation! If you are working with a caterer to plan a kiddush please make sure to let them know that none of the food can contain nuts (or peanuts) of any kind. Please feel free to reach out to Matt Feinberg in the office with any questions.
An Opportunity to Honor, with a Tax Savings Benefit for You The pending tax legislation in Washington may impact your tax benefit from charitable donations. One of the changes included in the new law is a significant increase in the standard deduction, along with limitations on the state and local tax deduction. This means fewer taxpayers will itemize deductions in 2018, limiting the benefit of charitable giving next year.
If you are a taxpayer who currently itemizes rather than claiming the standard deduction, you may want to consider accelerating your charitable contributions into 2017 to get a larger income tax benefit.
With that in mind, we offer the opportunity for early sign-up for our March, 2018 Annual Dinner.
We expect a great evening, honoring individuals who contribute in many beautiful, important ways to our vibrant and growing community.
Of course, you will want to honor them with an ad in our celebration journal. Just click here to place your ad and make payment before December 31 - and you'll receive a tax savings benefit in 2017.
*Note: If you would like to transfer stock, please contact Matt Feinberg (mfeinberg@cas-stamford.org or 203-358-2200)
