High Holiday and Covid Protocol Update
Thank you to everyone who filled out our High Holiday survey. We received over 200 responses, making up nearly 575 adults and children over 12 years old who plan on attending the High Holidays. Thank God, over 98 percent of adults and 94 percent of kids between 12 and 18 years old who are eligible to be vaccinated have been vaccinated. We continue to wish everyone good health. Additionally, over 40 percent of the respondents plan on davening in the tent. With this in mind, we will have two tent services over the holidays. Unless you reserve seats or own pews, seating in all minyanim will be first come, first serve. If you want to reserve seats, please contact the office to sign up for our patron program.

Also, as you are likely aware, in light of the rising case numbers due to the delta variant, the Department of Health of the State of CT has revised their guidelines as of August 1st. We strongly recommend vaccinated people to wear masks indoors. Masks are required indoors for unvaccinated people.

We appreciate your cooperation. We will keep you posted with further updates and God willing, we will all share good news in health in the season ahead.

Did You Know? Healing and Hospitality Update Whether in the hospital, assisted living, rehab or at home, a visit can life someone's spirits and help with their healing. We pray in the misheberach for a healing of the spirit and healing of the body. Thank God, we have a cadre of people who volunteer to visit our members. We stay in touch and alert the group to mitzvah opportunities via a google group entitled healingvisits@cas-stamford.org.

The warmth of our community is our strength and our value. Thank God, many people are moving into the community. There is no better substitute for building friendships than a Shabbat meal. Once a month, we invite our members to host new families for Shabbat by sending them names via the google group hospitality@cas-stamford.org.

If you would like to be added to either or both groups, please contact Matt Feinberg in the office or Rabbi Cohen

CAS Movie Club
Sunday, October 10 - 8:00 PM
For the next movie club we're going to be taking a little bit of the break until after the chagim. We'll be watching 1981's Chariots of Fire. It's available to stream for free on Tubi, rent from Vudu or borrow from the library. Even if you've watched it before I strongly urge everyone to watch it again with a critical eye and come prepared to discuss it like you've never done before! Each month we'll pick a movie and then come together to discuss its themes, its cultural meaning, and place it in an historical context. We will talk about how film as an artform can teach us about our society and the mors and values we embody or wish to project. We'll learn the language of film and how it's used to tell those stories. For more info, For more info, contact Judith Bernstein at judith82@gmail.com. **Please note, if you've already sign up, no need to sign up week to week as your name remains on the list until you request it be removed.**
