  • The Big Give  Sunday, October 19th at 9:30 am. The Big Give is a vital opportunity to support programs that strengthen and unite the community As One. Federation is pivotal in safeguarding the community, including enhancing security measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of every Jewish institution in the area. Children are encouraged to collect Tzedakah and complete Mitzvah Bingo Cards, which will be distributed at local Jewish schools and are also available at the UJF office.   • Kuriansky Teen Leadership Institute  Begins Sunday, October 26. Calling All Teens - This leadership program is for teens entering 10th–12th grades and focuses on the Jewish values of Tzedakah (philanthropy), Tikun Olam (social justice), and Gemilut Chasadim (acts of kindness). Earn community service hours! Looks great on college resumes! Meet new friends, and get ready to be a Jewish leader! Starting this fall, participants will meet monthly on Sundays from 5:30–7 PM (October through May). If you know teens who might be interested, please encourage them to apply by visiting www.ujf.org/KTLI.
  • Reminder: Aaron's Place, on the ground floor of Stamford Hospital  provides kosher snacks, drinks and meals, in a comfortable environment. If you are caring for a hospitalized loved one or waiting for tests, this comfort room is a place to regroup and refresh.
