Shabbat Shalom

We hope you and your families enjoyed a wonderful Chanukah. It has been deeply gratifying to share in the joy of the holidays at so many events and places around town. We are looking forward to a wonderful Shabbat Chanukah with a ruach filled Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat, Hallel on Shabbat morning and a celebratory Kiddush in honor of many smachot in our community.

We will be resuming youth groups this Shabbat. We are also pleased to welcome Rabbi Matthew Shochet who will be giving the 10:30 AM shiur and Dr. Sam Singer who will be speaking in between mincha and maariv on Shabbat afternoon.

Join us Saturday night at our home for an Open House Chanukah Party featuring Jonathan Cahr, Sunday morning for our Youth Puppet Show at 9:15 AM and Yom Iyun with Rabbi Tzvi Sobolofsky at 10:00 AM. Sign up below.

Thank God, our attendance at shul is growing every week. Although we are, thank God, emerging from COVID and pray for continued health, we must remain mindful and vigilant. We appreciate everyone adhering to the guidelines below. We will also be reserving the balcony section near the main staircase as a mask only section to create a more welcoming environment for all.

We will be hosting minyanim on Shabbat morning at 7, 8, and 9 am. God willing, the Sephardic minyan will meet on December 11th.

Finally, reserve next Saturday night, December 11th at 8 PM at the shul for a special event in partnership with the Stamford JCC with members Senator Joseph and Hadassah Lieberman who will engage in a conversation about their recent new books. Sign Up below.

We are blessed with many wonderful opportunities at Agudath Sholom and appreciate everyone coming together to make our shul and community such a special place. God willing we will share more good news in the weeks ahead.

Wishing you and your families a Shabbat Shalom and Happy Chanukah,

Rabbi Daniel Cohen
