Shabbat Shalom

We hope you and your families are enjoying an uplifting Sukkot. All minyanim and youth groups are meeting this Shabbat and we read Kohelet on Shabbat morning.

This Sunday evening is Hoshana Raba marking the end of the High Holiday season. Please note minyanim times are 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM. Hoshanot will be available for sale at the minyanim.

We are looking forward to celebrating a beautiful Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah together. We sit in the Sukkah on Shemini Atzeret but do not recite the special bracha for sitting in the Sukkah. We recite Yizkor on Shemini Atzeret morning.

We will offer pre Simchat Torah Hakafot for nursery age children in the Shabbat park in partnership with Chabad and Young Israel and Hakafot for K/1-4th grade at Agudath Sholom. For more info, contact Yaakov or Yolly at yfaratci@gmail.com and ydratch@gmail.com

We will daven outside in Tent #1 on Tuesday evening beginning with Mincha at 6:20 PM followed by learning and Maariv. Hakafot will begin at approximately 7:30 PM in Tent #2. We will offer a light kiddush following the first Hakafah and resume with the remainder of the Hakafot and Maariv.

On Simchat Torah morning, we will offer an early service at 7:00 AM in the main sanctuary and two services at 8:45 AM in the chapel and tent #1. We will all join together in the tents for Hakafot, Aliyot and the Chatanim and resume musaf in the chapel and tent. We will also offer women's aliyot in the chapel. Youth Groups will meet at 10:15 AM - 11:00 AM, break for Kol Hanearim and the Chatanim and then resume from 11:15 AM - 12:00 PM. Light refreshments will be provided during the aliyot.

May the days of Sukkot be filled with much joy and health and wishing you and your families a Shabbat Shalom and Chag Sameach!

Agudath Sholom and the Life & Legacy Initiative

Agudath Sholom is proud to be one of more than 680 Jewish organizations across North America that have secured over 1 billion dollars in legacy commitments to ensure a bright Jewish future.

To date, our collaboration with 10 other Stamford organizations, United Jewish Federation of Greater Stamford, New Canaan and Darien, and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation's LIFE & LEGACY initiative, has led 97 donors just like you to commit gifts of over 4 million dollars to local organizational endowments.

Without writing a check today, you too can do your part to help the Agudath Sholom build our endowment and help build the endowments of the other Jewish organizations in our community you value, so we can weather turbulent times like these and adapt to meet evolving community needs.

This is a very simple process, and when Agudath Sholom reaches our first goal of 18 -25 Letters of Intent, we will receive a financial incentive grant that can be used immediately for any synagogue need.

Join our members who have already signed letters of intent. We are deeply appreciative of their commitment to Agudath Sholom!
