Shabbat Shalom

Thank you very much for all of the warm wishes on behalf of the marriage of Elisheva to Yaakov Moshe Shmidman. It is wonderful to welcome Yaakov Moshe's parents and grandparents - Rabbi Avraham & Adina Shmidman and Rabbi Shimon & Hennie Wolf - this Shabbat as well. If you missed the wedding, you can see the livestream here and we look forward to sharing the simcha at seudah shlishit. There will be an early mincha at 5:40 PM and regular one is at 7:20 PM.

We are looking forward to another segment of Dr. Michelle Levine's series this Wed night and are excited to welcome next Shabbat, Rabbi Ben-Tzion and Rabbanit Dr. Tamara Spitz for our Israel Shabbat in partnership with Mizrahi. Please sign up for the Friday night dinner with the Spitz's (sign up below in the Events section). We are also hosting a Sephardic minyan next Shabbat at 9 AM in addition to our regular minyanim.

We wish the BCHA 8th grade students Tzetzchem Leshalom during the prayer for the state of Israel in shul as they leave this week for their trip to Israel. In celebration of Yom Haatzmaut, all teens are invited this Shabbat at 9:45 AM to a unique Israel themed teen minyan for the entire teen community in the Manger Beit Midrash.

Finally, we wish a happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers in our community. We will offer a prayer on Shabbat morning for all those who are praying for the opportunity to be blessed with a child. The text is here. To learn more, visit Yesh Tikva's website.

May we continue to share many joyous occasions together in the days ahead.

Wishing you and your families a Shabbat Shalom,

Rabbi Daniel Cohen
