| | | | | A new year brings new beginnings and opportunities. The next ten days afford a chance to start a fresh path in our relationship to G-d and man. Maimonides teaches that G-d grants us forgiveness for the past if we approach him with sincerity and resolution to become better people. Spend some time in the next few days identifying goals and strategies for the coming year to ensure spiritual success. It also a time to make amends with people we may have offended or hurt in some way. It is not easy to swallow our pride and seek forgiveness but we must try. In contrast, we must be open to forgive. It is not uncommon for me to be approached to broker a fractured relationship through a three way meeting and I am available to discuss if I can be helpful. When we let go and heal, we not only bring peace but arouse the mercy of G-d to forgive us as well. Diane and I are looking forward to seeing you over the holidays and wish you and your families a Ketiva V'Chatima Tova, Shana Tova and happy and healthy New Year. One of the main mitzvot of this season is tzedakah. Please consider a generous contribution to our annual Yom Kippur Appeal. We count on your support for the ongoing operations of the shul. SUKKOT ACROSS AGUDATH
On Saturday, September 21, the Sisterhood wants everyone in our congregation enjoying their Shabbat afternoon having Sukkot lunch with other members of our shul, at homes across the community. Come be a part of Sukkot as it's supposed to be...within the beauty and spirituality of the sukkah, enjoying friends, old and new. This event is FREE.
Host families will provide food for the meal.
Guests will be asked to bring wine, challah, and pareve dessert (more details when you sign up!)
