Help us welcome a very special group of Israeli children who have paid a big price personally for our collective ability to count on the State of Israel. Each one has lost a parent in the line of duty, protecting Israel. The nonprofit that looks out for them, IDF Widows and Orphans Organization (www.idfwo.org), has sent us a group of 41 twelve and thirteen-year-olds this Shabbat. Please consider greeting them as they arrive at CAS at 4 pm on Friday. We will honor them and the families who are hosting them with a special kiddush after morning services, where you will have another chance to say hello. So please do!

Halachic Reminders for Shabbat Erev Tisha B'Av Seudah Shlishit is considered your meal before the Fast. We will provide a meal in shul following 7:00 pm mincha. Fast Begins at 8:14 pm If you are staying in shul from Shabbat, bring your non-leather shoes on Friday to shul. If you leave your home after Shabbat (8:57 pm), recite Baruch Hamavdil Bein Kodesh LeChol to mark the end of Shabbat before driving to shul. We will recite Havdalah on a flame following Maariv (9:15 pm) and before Eicha on Saturday night. Maariv will be held in the main sanctuary

Daf Yomi Shabbat Celebration - Shabbat, August 4 To celeberate the completion of the world wide seven year cycle of studying the Talmud, CAS will host a panel with our Daf Yomi participants following Shabbat services at 11 am.
