We are excited to host a Sephadric minyan this Shabbat at 9 AM in the Faye and Ben Manger Beit Midrash in addition to the 7, 8 and 9 am minyanim. We will welcome Ithamar Kashi as guest Chazzan. There will be two minayim this Friday night - 7 PM and 8:13 PM. Mazal Tov to our dinner honorees - Rachel Dayan, Barry Sternlicht and family and Matt Feinberg. Thank you very much to all our supporters and the chairs - Dinah Miller Marlowe, Talia Siscovick, Leah Miller, Marla Lewis - and executive liaison, Meg Haron. God willing, it will be a wonderful evening! We wish many blessings to Yaakov and Yolly Faratci and their kids, whose last Shabbat in Stamford as youth directors is this weekend. We will also be hosting a Northeast Region NCSY Shabbaton this Shabbat and Yaakov will be sharing a brief Dvar Torah in the main sanctuary. Join us at our annual meeting on Wednesday, June 22nd to honor Yolly, Yaakov and Suzzanah Coll, the recipients of this year's George and Ziporah Freedberg Excellence in Spirit and Hineni Awards. We are grateful to Kate and Peretz Cik for hosting a Young Families, Couples and Singles Backyard Shmooze this Shabbat afternoon. For more info on this event and/or joining Agudath Sholom, contact Hilary Goldstein, membership chair, at goldenberg.hilary@gmail.com. As we embark on the summer, we will be dedicating the learning at seudah shlishit to the study of Pirkei Avot. I will be leading a session this week following mincha on Chapter 1. Join us this Sunday morning at 11 AM for the final session in our Bar Ilan Series featuring Professor Moshe Hellinger, Political Science Department - "The Changing Face of Israeli Society: Trends, Directions and Challenges". Also, the Vaad of Fairfield County will be hosting a virtual session on topics in Kashrut on Monday, June 2oth at 7:30 PM. Please submit questions in advance here. Finally, I take a moment to enjoy this beautiful article on Naso by Rabbi Sacks of blessed memory. It is a timeless reminder that Naso is a call for us to "lift people's heads." Never let anyone feel that he or she is merely a number. We are as important as we make other people feel. Wishing you and your families a Shabbat Shalom, Rabbi Daniel Cohen

- IN THE NEWS: OUR MEMBER STEVE LABKOFF The wonders of the universe will be on display at the J's in "How Beautiful, the Universe" at the newly renovated gallery space. Astrophotographs taken by members of the Westport Astronomical Society. The images captured by Society members show the depth of beauty that is just overhead. Nearly 30 images of galaxies, nebulae, comets, the moon and planets adorn the walls of the Gallery @ The J from June 12-August 31. All images were taken in or around Connecticut, and mostly at the observatory campus at 182 Bayberry Lane, Westport, on either the facility's own 14" Celstron telescope or members' own equipment. All the works on display will be for sale. A part of the proceeds will go to provide support for new observatories that are being planned for the campus. CAS Member Steven Labkoff, MD, will be one of the featured astrophotographers. There is a pubic opening June 14 at 7PM at the JCC - 1035 Newfield Avenue, Stamford.
