God willing, the upcoming holiday of Pesach will be one of joy, healing, growth and sweetness for everyone! Thank you to everyone for joining our celebration this past Sunday in honor of Adina and Moshe. We wanted to celebrate in Stamford when they are both here for Pesach to say "Thank You!" for the role of our community in shaping who she is today. Although the wedding was in Israel in January, the proximity of the upcoming holiday of Pesach is the perfect expression of the reason that Diane and I felt it was so important to share the simcha of Adina and Moshe with each of you. More than any other holiday, Pesach affords us the opportunity to explore and reconnect to our foundations as a nation. The prime mitzvah is to remember our roots and give gratitude to God and our ancestors without whom we would not be here today. Adina's roots are in the Stamford Jewish community and most notably Agudath Sholom and Bi Cultural Hebrew Academy and we are eternally grateful of their impact on her. Take a moment this Pesach to remember the people, and communities that shaped you. To read my remarks from Sunday, click here. Please note Friday night minyan this evening will be at 7:21 PM. The Seder should start after 8:16 PM. Special thank you to Rabbi Kurtz, Yaakov and Yolly, Matt, Kim and Chris for their partnership in supporting our community preparations for Pesach. Indoor Masking Update In accordance with the policies of the City of Stamford, the following is now in effect at CAS:- Masks are optional in the CAS building, regardless of age or vaccination status.
- While not required, we recommend those who are unvaccinated continue to wear a mask.
- The first section of the Men's and Women's Balconies are reserved for Masks Only.

- One must complete all of the preparations for the Seder while it is still daytime. The Romaine lettuce must be thoroughly cleansed and then, carefully inspected for bugs. The horseradish must be grated. The salt water must be prepared.
- Kiddush is not made in shul on Pesach.
- Davening Notes: Please remember insertions for Shabbos and Pesach. Abridged Kabbalas Shabbos. Complete Hallel. Tefilas Tal; Chazzan marks the end of reciting Mashiv HaRuach in his repetition of Mussaf.

Halacha Notes:
- Mashiv Haruach: During the chazzan's repetition on the first day of Pesach he will recite Tefilat Tal, the prayer for dew. The congregation still says mashiv haruach during the second blessing of the musaf amida. We only begin to omit mashiv haruach at mincha later the same day.
- Sefira: The first day of sefira is counted on Saturday night (the second night of Pesach). Join My Omer for Meaningful Growth Tool during Sefirah.

- SUMMER JOBS AVAILABLE AT THE J The Stamford JCC Inclusion Department is currently recruiting senior high school and college students for summer job employment in our Hand in Hand program. Hand in Hand provides children grades Pre-K - 8 the opportunity to participate in a typical summer camp environment in a supportive setting. We work with children of all abilities to reach their fullest potential, both developmentally and interpersonally. We are looking for students who have had experience working or volunteering with children who have special needs and who genuinely enjoy working with diverse children in a recreational setting. - NEW JEWISH SENIOR SERVICES HOSPICE VOLUNTEER TRAINING DATES Chaifetz Family Hospice will be holding a 2-Day Hospice Training for people interested in giving their time and compassion to JSS clients in Fairfield County.
