As we swing into the fall, we are excited to offer a full array of adult education classes. Click here to learn more. Please note the Night at the Observatory is postponed until Sunday night due to weather conditions. We will also be hosting the event at the shul about purchasing properties in Israel. In case you missed the in-person premiere of "Upheaval: The Journey of Menachem Begin", you can buy tickets for the Q and A and in person showing here. Read about it in the Jewish Link. Next Shabbat, we invite baby boomers and seniors to an Open Tent Meet and Greet at the shul tent at 4 PM. Save October 24th for a special Youth Mitzvah morning and a virtual Shemitah presentation from Israel and noted columnist Jonathan Tobin on Sunday, October 31st. Details below. We will offer a full array of minyanim this Shabbat at 7, 8 and 9 AM (indoors and outdoors) This week, we will be offering more robust kiddushim. Our youth will be joining us at 10:50 AM to lead Adon Olam. Kiddush Update New Protocols Start Shabbat October 16th Kiddush food will no longer be individually wrapped and packaged. There will be a separate table for kids' desserts. Kids are not allowed to serve themselves from the other tables. Parents must do so for their kids. |

The Rabbi Of Buchenwald - The Life And Times Of Herschel Schacter Wednesday, November 10 - 7:30 PM A Conversation with Rabbi JJ Schachter and Rafael Medoff.On the eve of World War II, Herschel Schacter became the rabbi of Agudath Sholom, his very first congregation. In the years to follow, Schacter would become world renowned as the U.S. army chaplain who aided survivors in liberated Buchenwald, as a leader in the Soviet Jewry protest movement, and as the first Orthodox rabbi to become chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. Come hear the fascinating story of a remarkable Jewish leader whose career began right here in our own shul. |

Join "Giving Thursdays" at CAS! We are excited to announce Agudath Sholom's Giving Thursdays to support Schoke JFS Freedberg Kosher Food Pantry - Make it a habit when shopping for Shabbos to buy items for the Food pantry.Drop off food on Thursdays at the minyanim or during the day at CAS and we will deliver to the food pantry on Fridays. Items needed are: Olive Oil/Vegetable Oil, Canned Tuna/Salmon in Water, Boxed Milk, Oat and Almond Milk, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Jarred Tomato Sauce and also consider purchasing items at Virtual Grocery Store - Elayne and James Schoke Jewish Family Service (ctjfs.org/virtualgrocerystore). |
