- MAKING A COMMITMENT: THE FIGHT AGAINST GLOBAL CAMPUS ANTISEMITISM is a virtual event that will be held October 18 at 1:00 pm EST over Zoom & Facebook Live. Four student leaders from the US (Columbia University & UCLA), the UK (King's College), and Argentina (UADE), through storytelling of their own experiences, will share how Menachem Begin's values and legacy inspire them to respond to antisemitism on their campuses. The virtual event is part of a larger Menachem Begin Educational Initiative spearheaded by Hidden Light Institute (HLI), a 501(c)3 set up with the purpose of sharing Begin's values and legacy with a diverse cross-section of people globally. The impetus for the overall initiative began with a conversation about the real-and rising-threat of antisemitism in the U.S. and throughout the world, and the need for strong, principled leadership to counter it. Initially, HLI was created to produce a film -- that we have partnered on -- that would both educate and galvanize, and that would introduce (or reintroduce) viewers to Menachem Begin as a leader worth studying. Now it has morphed into much more. To register: https://bit.ly/2GqCMm8
