In the spirit if Elul I wanted to share this poem by Gary Ryan Blair. As it is written, "Seek out G-d when He can be found, call upon Him when He is near," (Isaiah 55:6) and during this season his presence and our potential are more prominent than ever.
IT'S NEVER TOO LATE to change. to fall in love. to tell the truth. to get in shape. to simplify your life. to act with integrity. to do the right thing. to enjoy the journey. to expand your mind. to dream big dreams. to make a comeback. to ask for forgiveness. to live happily ever after. to take full responsibility. to create a breakthrough. to honor your commitments. to break out of a comfort zone. to expose yourself to greatness. to commit your life to excellence. to be what you might have been. to start heading in the right direction. to make a significant contribution to society. to make everything you say, think and do count. It's never to late to do anything, just a little later than it was! Dreams deferred are dreams that die - a process that can take the dreamer along with them. The good news is that it's never too late to revisit, and relive, one's deepest desires.

Youth | Tot Shabbat, Mini Minyan and Jr.Cong. continue all summer long. All other groups - see you August 31! Introducing a new feature-meet the leaders of our various youth groups! Meet Our Fabulous Leaders This week's featured leaders: Miriam Sperber - Co-Teen Director Hey everyone, my name is Miriam and I am your new co-Teen Director for 2013/2014! I cannot believe that a year has gone by since my husband Josh and I moved into this warm and welcoming community. Since we arrived in Stamford I have run the Mini Minyan at CAS on Shabbat mornings and it was a wonderful experience. Here are some things you might not know about me...I was born in Montreal (Canada for those who don't know) and I am fluent in French. I graduated from Stern College and FIT with a double major in Art and Fashion Design and this past year I was able to share my passion for art as a teacher at the Chabad Gan. I am extremely excited to have been asked to coordinate the Teen's programming for the coming year. It's a thrill to jump in and create fun and exciting Shabbat programs for our teens. I look forward to a very successful and rewarding year. Can't wait to meet you all!!! Josh Sperber - Co-Teen Director Hello CAS teens and families, my name is Josh and along with my wife Miriam I will be running the Senior and Junior Teen programs for this coming year. About a year ago I got married, moved to CT and started a new job, many changes that came upon me in the span of a few months. My hopes are for this year that through amazing event planning, a fulfilling Teen Minyan, and a great participative Teen Board we will be able to make many changes within our teen program for the good. This past year I led the Junior Congregation programs with much success and I hope to bring the same to the teen programs. I grew up in Fresh Meadows, New York and attended NYIT where I studied Business management. Currently I work for a barter company as a Trade Director. I can't wait to every one of you and get to know you on a personal basis. Upcoming Holiday Youth and Family Events at CAS: - Saturday, August 31st, 5-6:30 pm, . Junior Teens (7th and 8th grade):
